ABOUT

In Plain Sight: A Psycho Pass Zine was conceived a few months ago when our fellow fans chose In Vogue (Fashion) as the theme they were most interested in. Since then, the mod team has come together and realized that this theme might be too limiting for fic writers. After picking each other’s brains, we’ve decided to combine the elements of fashion with one of our favorite themes: undercover!Going undercover is a necessary part of police work, and holo-disguises have been a staple in Psycho-Pass throughout the series. What better way to see our favorite characters not only dressed differently (fashionably or otherwise!), and for writers to do their magic and weave some amazing stories in between!This project will take the form of an online release (via tumblr, twitter and AO3) on October 11, 2025 and will be consolidated into a digital zine that will be available for free download at the end of the month.PROJECT MODS:

GUIDELINES

This is a general scope project. For solo character art submissions, there will be limited slots for popular characters (Akane, Kogami and Ginoza) so that other characters are represented as well. The only exception is if the mods or invited creators wish to create for them too. Multiple characters per piece/fic is allowed, ocs, ships/romantic themes are not allowed. All accepted contributors are expected to follow this rule and adhere to the theme.For solo submissions, the sign-up form will include a “dibs” form, so those who sign up first will have the greatest chance to create for their faves!Sign-ups• Link to the sign-up form will be shared via all our networks (tumblr & twitter) on July 15, 2025, 4PM Central European Summer Time.Application Requirements:
• Open to all Psycho Pass fans (active/inactive) who would like to participate!
• Multiple submissions (e.g. applying as both an artist and writer) allowed ONLY if you are committed to submit both on time. Please be a good judge of your capacity given the timeline.
• Contributors need to fill the sign up form (and if applicable, select your solo character submission). This guarantees your slot in the project & your commitment to the rules & deadlines.
• Collaborations (artists/writers) are highly encouraged!
• Contributors are required to have at least a twitter or tumblr account for posting on the day of release.
If you do not have (or do not wish to create) accounts for these sites, we will need your permission to release your work through the project socials (tumblr or twitter) with a direct link to your other socials (e.g. bluesky/IG, etc). You can still post directly on your other socials with a direct link to the project socials.
• Sign-ups close on July 31, 2025 23:59 Central European Summer Time.
• Discord accounts are required for all contributors. All future correspondence with the mods will be via discord.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment• There is no screening required for this project, however, the mods reserve the right to reject disingenuous or fake applications, and those who do not cooperate, follow the rules or are disrespectful to any of the mods/participants in the project.
• Aside from Akane, Kogami and Ginoza, we do not expect to have more than 3 submissions per character. In the event that this happens, we will contact the contributors personally to find a compromise.
• We are very strict about the no ocs/ships/romance rule. We will not accept submissions that go against this rule, regardless of the effort put in.

SPECIFICATIONS

Artists (Illustration/Manga/Comic): •recommended 1920 x1080 px
• 300 dpi
• max size: 10MB
• portrait or landscape OK
• 4 page maximum for mangaWriters (Fan Fiction):
• 2500 words maximum
• no x reader, ship-centric or romance fics
• provide a summary of no more than 100 words.All Submissions:
• canon PSYCHO-PASS setting only (No AUs)
• ocs and ships/romance are not allowed
• this is not an NSFW zine, so no explicit art, graphics or fics. artistic nudity is allowed, but keep it classy and in line with the theme :)
